Ya'll will be glad to know that Southwest buys only the best peanuts. Their peanuts are "processed in a facility that process peanuts and other nuts." (If you don't get it at first, read it that last sentence again.)
By the way, it was windy yesterday at LAX! It's the first time I've been in an aircraft (SWA 829 (N216WR) in this case) where I could actually feel the aircraft being pushed to the side of the runway as we took off. It was also very bumpy once we got in the air. I like flying but do NOT like turbulence at all. The flight attendant delayed beverage service due to the turbulence.
The woman in front of us though the flight attendant's safety briefing was unprofessional. She gave us a briefing that was reminiscent of all briefings I heard prior to 9/11 on Southwest. In other words, it was funny and got the point across.
The flight to LAX on the 21st was in a brand new aircraft. N902WN, operating as SWA230), had been delivered to Southwest just a day earlier.
The new boarding procedure worked like a charm on both flights. Best of both worlds - no need to stand in line for an hour or so and we still have open seating.

In-n-Out Burger
Great hamburgers, very good fries (if they were longer, they'd be great!), and a company that is good to its employees. In the San Francisco suburb of Pleasanton, they start their workers off at $10 an hour. That shows that a company can both have reasonable prices and pay their workers (most teengers and young adults) a good wage.
Additionally, I love the fact that they put Bible references on their packaging. I've seen Nahum 1:7 and Revelation 3:20 on their fries packaging and John 3:16 on their cups.
Praise God for a company that's not ashamed to show their faith.

Walmart Supercenter for the SF Bay Area - NOW!
I'm so tired of the various elected "representatives" of the San Francisco Bay Are bowing down to the unions! I'm in LA for the Christmas holiday. I had the opportunity to go to a Walmart Supercenter. It is so nice to be able to get ALL of my shopping down in one place rather than going to one place to buy food and another place to buy non-food stuff like electronics, clothes.
You would think all of those global warming alarmists would welcome a Supercenter because it cuts down on the number of trips people have to make.
The food items are cheaper at Walmart than Safeway or Luckys. This extends the buying power of people on fixed income.
Come on, all you so-called elected representatives. You are here to represent EVERYONE, not just those who support you financially. Just say no to the union money, just say no to other special interests, and START REPRESENTING everyone!
